1. Malibu Rising

Author: Taylor Jenkins Red

A party that ends up being completely out of control by midnight. By the coming morning, the mansion is nothing but bright flames. The music had played, the alcohol was there and the secrets lived, all to burn up.

This is exactly what happens at Nina Riva’s end of summer party. It was a yearly thing and everyone wanted to be around Nina. Her entire family was what one could call famous, she was a surfer and supermodel, one of her brothers was a championship surfer and the other was a pretty well-known photographer. She also had a younger sibling, Kit.

Nina herself however was not too excited about the party, she never really liked all the limelight, and she was mostly abandoned by her pro tennis player husband.

The party happens, not in the way it was supposed to. The family Malibu had their eyes on, has attracted more attention, for what?
